Tax Attorney Roni Deutch Helps Cease IRS Collections On Clients Owing The IRS In Aggregate Over $1.7 Million

North Highlands, CA (PRWEB) June 12, 2007 -- Tax attorney Roni Deutch helped cease Internal Revenue Service (IRS) collection activity against client's owing back taxes to the IRS through placement on Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status, which is one of the various tax debt relief services offered by her law firm.

The IRS will allow a taxpayer to be put on CNC status when the IRS has determined that they are presently unable to collect the taxes owed by a taxpayer. Usually the IRS will reach this decision once they have determined the taxpayer is unable to pay their tax liabilities through one of the IRS's tax resolution programs such as full payment or an Installment Agreement.

Before the IRS will place any taxpayer's account on CNC status, they will take an in depth look at the taxpayer's financial situation and their ability to make payments. An IRS collections officer will determine the taxpayer's monthly income from all sources and compare it to their monthly allowable expenses, which are reasonable expenses a taxpayer must incur every month to provide for the basic health and welfare of their family. If the allowable expenses exceed, or come close to exceeding the amount of the income, the taxpayer may qualify for tax relief through placement on CNC status.

Once the account is placed on CNC status, the IRS will cease all collection activity against the taxpayer, the statute of limitations on the tax liabilities continues to run. Generally the taxpayer's account will remain on CNC status until either the tax liabilities expire, or the taxpayer's financial situation improves. If the taxpayer's financial situation improves, the account may be taken off of CNC status and the IRS may attempt to collect the taxes through full payment or an Installment Agreement.
