Noted Trial Attorney and Baseball Card Historian Hal Lewis Releases His Suspense Novel "The Marinolli Treasure"

Tallahassee, FL (PRWEB) July 3, 2007 -- Known nationally as one of the country's Top 500 Trial Attorneys, Hal Lewis uses his wit and humor to spin a fascinating tale of fictional intrigue surrounding one of Americana's greatest treasures: the multi-million dollar 1909 Honus Wagner baseball card.

The book is filled with accurate details about the history of these rare Wagner cards, yet delivers the information in such a way as to make it easily understood by someone who has never even seen a baseball game. The fictional tale describes the journey of an uncut sheet of the cards and how it was originally rescued from the trash bin by a teenage janitor named Joey Marinolli in 1909. By the time 2007 arrives, everyone wants to get their hands on the sheet, so madness and mayhem ensue.

The storyline alternates between past and present as the reader can follow the early voyage of the cards and the current mad dash for them simultaneously. In the end, the protagonist is faced with obtaining the treasure or saving the life of his kidnapped lover. His choice is a surprising one.

The narrative voice of the work is humorous and full of recognizable quotes and music trivia. The style is described as "Malenglish Voice" (Male English) and is typical of how men speak and think when in a group. If "Chick Lit" is written for women, then "Malenglish" is written for men and the women who actually understand them!
