Prominent Pennsylvania Attorney Installed as Member of Board of Directors for Knights of Columbus

Frackville, PA (PRWEB) October 18, 2007 -- Pennsylvania State Deputy Michael J. O'Connor was installed Oct 6 as a member of the Board of Directors of the Order during the Board's quarterly meeting held at the Marriott Desert Ridge Hotel in Phoenix.

He was elected to the Board by delegates to the 125th annual Supreme Convention of the Knights of Columbus in Nashville, Tenn., in August.

O'Connor was elected state deputy for Pennsylvania in 2006, and is currently serving his second one-year term. He joined the Knights of Columbus at the Rev. James A. Hogan Council 2580 in Frackville, PA., and is a past grand knight of the council. He has also served as district deputy, state advocate, and state legislative chairman, as well as faithful navigator of Schuylkill Assembly 923.

O'Connor is a very active lay Catholic, currently serving the Allentown Diocese as a director for diocesan education. He's also on the diocesan Priest Review Board, and on the diocesan Pastoral Council. O'Connor and his wife Patricia have three children.

O'Connor is the founder of Michael J. O'Connor & Associates, a law firm with 15 offices throughout Pennsylvania. He specializes in protecting the rights of injured workers and Philadelphia Magazine named him a "Super Lawyer" in the field of workers' compensation law.
