Business & Legal Reports (BLR) Announces Online Media Veteran, Kathleen Greenler Sexton, Appointed as Chief Marketing Officer
OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. As CMO, Kathy is responsible for growing BLR's market share and revenue, with a focus on expanding online media product lines. Most recently, she was CMO at OrderMotion, Inc, an e-commerce provider targeting small- and medium-sized online retailers. Prior to OrderMotion, Kathy was CMO of HighBeam Research. Her leadership helped to significantly grow subscription and advertising revenues and established HighBeam as the leading research engine on the Web. Prior to HighBeam, she was VP of Marketing at Inlumen (formerly known as NewsAlert), where her efforts helped the content syndication company culminate its sale to Pinnacor (now part of Dow Jones). As General Manager and VP of marketing at Office.com, Kathy drove the growth of its Individual.com division creating a top-10 news destination site as well as growing Office.com into a leading small and medium business (SMB) portal. Kathy was part of the founding team of AltaVista, serving as its publisher and director of marketing. She was instrumental in growing AltaVista from a start-up to a leading online brand for consumers and businesses, a top-five Internet property and a top-10 online media publisher. Kathy also served in marketing roles at Boston Technology, ran her own marketing company, and started her career in broadcast television. She has a BA in Communications from Boston College and serves on the Content Board of the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA).
