Tactical Flashlight Specially Designed for Military and Law Enforcement Professionals Now Available Through 3 Dimensional Security

Richmond, British Columbia (PRWEB) May 2, 2008 -- 3 Dimensional Security, the Richmond, British Columbia-based distributor of security products for military, law enforcement and security professionals, is now taking orders for the 3DTFL tactical flashlight. This professional flashlight comes in two varieties -- LED or Xenon lamp -- for different applications. While designed for professionals, the 3DTFL is also available to the public through retailers.

The 3DTFL tactical flashlight is a professional product designed to withstand severe operational conditions encountered by military, law enforcement, security, fire and rescue crews.

The 3DTFL-5 incorporates a 3-Watt LED bulb and a custom lens system to create 160 lumens of bright, long range light, ideal for field users. LED lamp life is 10,000 hours and the flashlight wil operate for 200 minutes on one set of batteries. While the Xenon lamp has a shorter lamp life, it is preferable for night operations since LED cannot detect heat (with an IR filter).

The housing of the 3DTFL is made from high-intensity aluminum and features a serrated pattern on the bezel that can be used as a hand-to-hand combat weapon. The bezel and housing is also strong enough to use as an impact tool. Shock proof, the 3DTFL's lens is made from a high intensity material to avoid cracking. The flashlight is also completely waterproof.

For military and law enforcement users, the 3DTFL is designed to be mounted to a rifle or pistol with the optional Picatinny mounts. Infrared and fog filters are also available accessories. One of the key features of the 3DTFL is that one of the options is to flash a strobe light. The strobe is very effective in disorienting a target in a dark area, making it easier to apprehend him.
