How the Law of Attraction Could Change Your Lottery Odds

Owning a winning lottery ticket is a dream of millions of people around the world. A great percentage of the world's population does not like their jobs, and would like nothing more than to never have to work ever again. For them, the lottery is their ticket to a perfect and carefree lifestyle.

Fairly recently, a book titled The Secret was released. It explained the Law of Attraction, which stated that by thinking positive thoughts and events, they will happen. There is little real proof behind this theory besides empirical evidence, and even that is questionable. However, like anything in life, there is the possibility it is valid, and in the case it is fallacious, it does not hurt to employ techniques related to the Law.

If you are consistent with positive thoughts, the Universe will associate itself with those thoughts and bring them to you in reality.

One would think that the next phase is to buy dozens of lottery tickets and continue to dwell on how one of them is going to be a winner. Surprisingly, this is not the route you should take. Your job is to think positively that you will be rich immediately, and the Universe will bring you riches in some way. The lottery is only one possible medium of your attaining wealth.

Do not think of the how you will get rich, just believe that you will. It is integral that you start acting as if you have already achieved your goals; when you do this, the Universe is more likely to respond because you are more involved and committed. One has to have a high level of spirituality and belief to utilize the Law of Attraction. Remember, it has worked for at least a few people, so it could work for you! At the very least, it is worth a shot.

If you do not believe in supernatural phenomena, you can take the logical route to riches. Realistically, the chances of winning the lottery are incredibly close to impossible, especially with big games such as Powerball. You have the highest chance of winning a game where not many numbers are involved, such as the Pick 3. Statistics show that unmatched numbers have a greater chance of winning than matched numbers (for example, 1-2-3 is more probable than 1-1-3).

This is because a choice of something like 4-5-6 would cover six possible outcomes, while a choice like 5-5-6 would only have three possible outcomes. Therefore, if you follow a strategy in which you only choose unmatched numbers, your chances of success increase drastically.
